Extraordinary exhumation

Request

Extraordinary exhumation operations must be requested by the closest relative of the deceased person.

To obtain theauthorization prepare:

  • request with a €16,00 revenue stamp, indicating the reasons and subsequent destination of the requesting person (telephone contacts and email address) indicating the data of the deceased person, the reference cemetery and the current burial, the reasons and the subsequent destination of the deceased person by attaching a copy of a valid identity document;
  • authorization of all the closest relatives of the deceased person issued on specific forms available at the offices;
  • necropsy certificate for deaths less than two years old relating to deceased persons who died outside Milan;
  • receipt of the security deposit paid in the manner indicated by the offices.

Alternatively, it is possible to delegate the request to a funeral company.

In case of delegate a business will also need: 

  • delegation to the company;
  • copy of a valid identity document of the delegating person;
  • tax code of the delegating person.
