Nursing home for the elderly (RSA): information and guidance
Le Health care residences (RSA) they are retirement homes, i.e. those extra-hospital facilities that offer permanent hospitality to elderly people in need cycle need assistance.
What do they offer
In the structures, in addition to hotel-type services, they are provided in an integrated manner welfare, health and rehabilitation services.
As an alternative to full-time hospitalization, each RSA has a Integrated day center (CDI) which operates only as a daytime service.
The access requirements to the RSAs are:
- residency in Milan;
- aged over 65, in health conditions that compromise the level of self-sufficiency;
- Social and health ISEE - Residences equal to or less than €16.000,00;
- existence of an immediate state of socio-health need, even in the presence of real estate assets that cannot be immediately used for financial support for inclusion in RSA. The Administration reserves the right of compensation on the real estate assets, both in the case of sale and in the case of succession to heirs or legacies.
The service can be extended to older citizens under 65 years of age if the health condition exists geriatric pathologies that require placement in a nursing home.
The request of theactivation of the service can occur through one of the following methods:
- directly by the person concerned;
- on the recommendation of relatives;
- upon recommendation from the general practitioner or other local services.
It is necessary to book a appointment with the social worker at the local professional social service of the municipality which will, during the in-depth interviews, acquire the required documentation.
