Elena Eva Maria Grandi was born in Milan in 1960.

After completing her studies, she worked as a freelance editor. Her commitment in the institutions began in 2006 as a local District 1 Councilor.

She was then re-elected twice in the District 1 of the City, where she was appointed Councilor for Green Spaces from 2016 to 2021. Since 2016 holds management positions in the Greens Party / Europa Verde-Verdi. In 2021 she was elected in the City Council and Mayor Sala appointed her as Deputy Mayor for Environment and Green Spaces
