Filippo Barberis, born Filippo Paolo Barberis (Milan, 22 March 1983), is an administrator
Italian local, group leader of the Democratic Party in the Milan City Council.

Biography
Lawyer. Graduated in Law with a thesis in public international law. In 2014 he obtained a doctorate in labor law and subsequently collaborated with various law firms and is involved in the field of business innovation.

Graduated in piano at the Conservatory, he was a member, until 2011, of the Forme e Linguaggi theater company and of the Teatribù theater improvisation company.
He was elected student representative both at the Liceo Musicale of the Conservatory and at the State University of Milan, first in the Faculty of Law, then in the Academic Senate.
In 2005 he was among the founding members of an association named after Altiero Spinelli, of which he is president
Antonio Padoa-Schioppa.
Since 2008 he has distinguished himself in the university cultural season by giving life to the Lezioni d'Artista initiative, which brought important personalities together with the students (including Moni Ovadia, Paolo Rossi, Stefano Bollani, Gioele Dix, Michele Serra, Banda Osiris , Gianmaria Testa, Neri Marcorè, Nicola Piovani, Lella Costa, Enrico Rava, Serena Sinigaglia).
Before the elections to the city council he was responsible for schools and universities for the party
Democrat at the metropolitan level.
He is a member of the National Green Economy Council within which I participate in the work of the local authorities table.
Since December 2013 he has been a member of the secretariat of the Milanese Metropolitan PD, in 2018 he joined the
regional secretariat of the Lombardy Democratic Party and since 2019 he has been a member of the National Guarantee Commission and of the National Direction of the Democratic Party.

Institutional commitment
Elected to the Milan City Council with the Democratic Party in June 2011, from July of the same year he was President of the Commission for Labor Policies, Economic Development, University and Research until November 2014.
From October 2014 to October 2016 he was Metropolitan Councilor with the role of group leader of the Centre-left list for the Metropolitan City and, from July 2016 until the end of his mandate, delegate
to the Environment and Youth Policies for the metropolitan city.
In the Municipality, among the many topics, he dealt with the regulation for the Council of students, doctoral students and researchers of the Milanese universities and academies, the regulation of street arts, innovative forms of active labor policies (geomaps), the Intraprendi-Mi initiative of the exhibition Palazzo Marino in Music for young talents and in recent years he has followed all the main administration dossiers as group leader with particular attention since 2020 to all interventions to combat the pandemic crisis.
He is currently president of the Democratic Party's advisory group.

Curiosity
He loves traveling very much, a passion that has led him to learn languages ​​such as English,
French, German and Spanish.
