I was born in Milan, the city where I live with my family. I completed my studies in Milan and then enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine, graduating with top marks, specializing in Paediatrics and Neonatology and Neonatal Pathology. Since my university days I have been passionate about the social system of my city and I have had the opportunity to increasingly deepen my knowledge of various social issues and in particular issues of fragility and existence.
In the same years of my university career I worked in the United States.
After obtaining my degree and specializations, I became a 1st level Medical Director at the San Paolo Hospital in Milan with various roles including: Head of the Pediatric and Neonatology Area of ​​the Immigrant Women's Listening Centre; Deputy Director of the Neonatology and Neonatal Pathology Unit; Director of the Pediatric Emergency Department; Head of the Pediatric and Neonatology Area of ​​the DAMA project on disabilities; Adjunct professor with university tutor activity.
From 2005 to today, at the ASST Fatebenefratelli Sacco in Milan, I have been Director of the Department of Childhood and Developmental Medicine and Gender Medicine, subsequently interim Director of SC Tin Macedonio Melloni Hospital for 16 years until 2021; Regional Center for Childhood Nutrition for the Prevention of Adult Diseases; Donated human milk bank, from May 2022 Interim Director of CREI (Regional Center for Epilepsy).
In 2008 I founded the Adolescent Distress Center for victims of bullying, which was then extended to all adolescent phenomena related to cyberbullying and all the problems involving young people and families in a complex and constantly changing social system. Various works published in national/foreign indexed scientific journals.
Over the years I have received several awards and commendations including:
the Award of the Honor of "Knight of the Order of Merit" of the Italian Republic;
the Award of the Honor of "Commander of the Order of Merit" of the Italian Republic;
 “the Ambrogino d'Oro Militare” of the Municipality of Milan; 
the Municipality of Milan Award “Health in Milan is a commitment in the Municipality”.
In 2021 I became a Meritorious Member of the Carabinieri Association.
I was an Expert and Collaborator for Healthcare of the Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC).
I was Advisor to the Minister of MIUR (Ministry of University Education and Research).
I was a Consultant for the Office of the Government Extraordinary Commissioner for Missing Persons with particular reference to the phenomenon of Missing Minors.
I was a consultant for the Office for the activities of the Commissariat for the Coordination of solidarity initiatives for the victims of mafia crimes and violent international crimes for the Ministry of the Interior. 
Member of the European Technical Scientific Committee at the European Parliament from 25 January 2023.
2023 Participation with JCCIA in the 50th Anniversary of the relationship and institutional relations between Chicago and Milan as City Councilor
