Born in Milan in 1970, he lives in the Barona district with his wife Alessandra and five children. Graduated in Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan and PhD in Territorial Public Policies at the IUAV of Venice.

He was president of Municipality 6 in the previous council. He is a researcher at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies of the Polytechnic of Milan, where he currently teaches 'Analysis of the city and territory'. He worked for many years at the Institute for Social Research in Milan providing consultancy and technical assistance to many public administrations, private operators and the non-profit sector in the field of urban policies.  

In 2009 he founded and chaired the KCity company, dealing in particular with social housing interventions and regeneration projects in degraded and difficult neighborhoods in various Italian cities.

In 2016, mayor Giuseppe Sala appointed him councilor for public works and housing. In 2019 he was assigned the mandates for Social Policies and left Public Works, thus taking on the role of Councilor for Social and Housing Policies.

In 2021 he was elected as a municipal councilor on the Beppe Sala Mayor's List and is President of the Council Group
