Pursuant to art. 16 of the Statute of the Municipality of Milan, was established with City Council Resolution no. 100/2021, the "Citizen Consultation for Active Mobility and Accessibility", as amended and published on the online Notice Board of the Municipality of Milan on 3 January 2022, aimed at making the comparison with the Associations and groups of citizens to contribute to the planning of interventions to support active mobility in the city and metropolitan area.

The activation of the Consultation is useful and necessary given the objectives of sustainability, livability, well-being, health and efficiency that the Municipality of Milan has placed in the priorities of its programs.

The aforementioned City Council Resolution no. 100/2021 has provided for the Council moments of sharing and discussion with the "Consult for people with disabilities", highlighting that people with disabilities and elderly people are fragile categories who encounter countless obstacles in their active urban mobility on a daily basis.

The Council is made up of n. 15 members who remain in office for 4 years from the date of appointment by the Mayor and are renewed with the procedure referred to in the art. 16 of the Statute of the Municipality of Milan. A member of the Council will be indicated by the "Consultation of people with disabilities" chosen from among the associations dealing with active mobility.
