The Price List of the Municipality of Milan lists the "works", and the relative price, for the execution of public works and is therefore the tool used by designers, at the time of drafting the project, for the economic estimate of the public works necessary for the satisfaction of the needs and services of the city of Milan. It is also used as a reference for the liquidation of the works carried out.

It is also used by other bodies and private individuals, as an economic reference, for the planning of works even if they are not strictly municipal competence. 
The Price List includes approximately 40.000 items divided into price items for completed works, price items for the supply of materials, labor and various rentals of equipment used in the execution of construction, plant, road and street furniture works, whose cost values ​​are updated according to the indications dictated by current legislation on Public Works, and is structured in n. 4 volumes in addition to a fifth volume called "Technical Specifications" which describes the particular requirements, additional to the technical regulations in force, requested by the Municipal Administration to allow the best implementation of the works in compliance with environmental needs.

This edition of the 2018 Price List, compared to the previous ones, in addition to the column showing the "% INC. MO”, has been implemented with two other columns reporting the “% INC. MAT” and the “% INC. NOLI”.
In the column “% INC. MO” shows the percentage incidence which, multiplied by the “PRICE”, indicates the cost of the labor quantified and therefore already calculated in the value of the “PRICE” processing. 
In the column “% INC. MAT" shows the percentage incidence which, multiplied by the "PRICE", indicates the cost of the quantified materials and therefore already calculated in the value of the "PRICE" processing.
In the column “% INC. FREIGHTS" shows the percentage incidence which, multiplied by the "PRICE", indicates the cost of freight and equipment quantified and therefore already calculated in the value of the "PRICE" processing.

The 2018 Price List is effective from 1 January 2018 and ceases to be valid on 31 December 2018.

The “ANNUAL UPDATE OF THE MUNICIPAL PRICE LIST AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS” process is part of the Quality Management System of the Municipality of Milan certified in compliance with the requirements of the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard (certificate No. 12800-Certiquality srl).

The 2018 Price List, as with previous versions, is not for sale but can be downloaded free of charge in PDF format and in a computerized version through standard exchange files (HTML and XML) which allows its use with applications normally in use, in the " attachments" of this page, to facilitate the integration of the Price List with the most used software for digital design and modeling (BIM), on an experimental basis in this edition of the Price List, a methodology is introduced for a limited number of items coding also proposed when developing the UNI 11337 standard, with an additional 2018 XML Price List file with #TagBIM.

Note: For the computerized versions, it is specified that the Municipality of Milan will not be responsible for any changes that users may make in whole or in part to the Price List and Technical Specifications. However, in the event of disputes, the contents of the paper copy attached to the Executive Decision approving the Price List kept in the archives of the Facility Management Directorate - Public Works and Technical Coordination Area of ​​the Municipality of Milan will prevail.
