The budget of the Municipality of Milan

The budget of the Municipality of Milan is made up of the following documents:

The Single Programming Document (DUP)
It is the three-year planning document of the Municipality's activities. It contains the illustration of the general characteristics of the population, the territory, the established economy and the services provided, as well as the spending programs to be pursued and the illustration of the means necessary to cope with them. It also contains the plan for the disposal and valorisation of assets and the three-year program of public works.

The financial budget forecast
It is the document in which the financial forecasts referring to each financial year included in the three-year period considered in the DUP are represented for accounting purposes, through which the City Council, as part of the exercise of its guidance and planning function, defines the distribution of the financial resources between the programs and the activities that the administration must carry out, in line with the provisions of the programming document.
