Register of Scrutineers/Scrutineers

The single register of scrutineers contains the names of people qualified to serve as polling station scrutineers.

During elections, the scrutineers are appointed by the Municipal Electoral Commission.

Registration in the register is the necessary condition to be designated as scrutineers/scrutineers.

Registration in the register remains valid until the interested person submits a request for cancellation.

In case of loss of the requirements or conviction for crimes relating to elections, the candidate will be automatically removed.

According to electoral regulations, the following are excluded from the functions of scrutineer:

  • employees of the Ministry of the Interior, Posts and Telecommunications and Transport
  • belonging to Armed Forces in service
  • provincial doctors, health officials and medical officers
  • municipal secretaries and municipal employees, assigned or seconded to serve at municipal electoral offices
  • female and male candidates in the elections for which voting is taking place.
