The park in brief

Inserted in the Southern Agricultural Park is a large green area that connects the city to the countryside.
The landscape is that of the Po Valley, with the nearby fifteenth-century farmhouses of Guascona and Gasconcina and the important fountains, Cappello del Prete, Ferro di Cavalli and degli Assi, among the most beautiful visible in Milan, flanked by pedestrian paths.

The vegetation is also typical of the Lombard plain, with poplars, locust trees, willows, elderberries, priest's hat and hawthorn. The flooring is in concrete.

History and Architecture

The park is set in a naturalistic context typical of the Po Valley, rich in history linked to agriculture, as evidenced by the adjacent Guascona and Guasconcina farmhouses and the fountains. An integral part of the Southern Milan Agricultural Park, it is included in an inter-municipal system of parks, which constitutes a link between the city and the countryside.
