The park in brief

The park, which takes its name from an ancient farmhouse in the area, the Caimera, is crossed by a cycle/pedestrian path, the first step in a journey aimed at connecting the Darsena to the South Park. Designed with the Lombard agricultural landscape in mind, it has boundaries characterized by presence of single species groves with tall trees with leaves of different colours. Also worth mentioning are the rows of cypress poplars, the Judas tree, the late cherry tree, the tulip tree, the black pear, the white hornbeam and the dogwood.

The garden is periodically monitored by the GEV, the Volunteer Ecological Guards. The flooring is asphalt and concrete slabs.

The park, which takes its name from an ancient farmhouse in the area, the Caimera, is recently built and is located between the Naviglio Pavese towpath and the junctions of the Autostrada dei Fiori in a large urban area transformed into a residential complex .

In a very fragmented context, the park has a precise identity: it is made up of a "green belt" of around 350 hornbeams, which embraces the new buildings and embellishes the pedestrian path. At the borders of the green area, single-species groves of tall trees have been created, distinguished by the color of their foliage and their growth, while three rows of cypress poplars (Populus nigra 'Italica'), chosen to evoke the agricultural character of the place, they mark the boundaries of the park in the direction of Pavia along the Naviglio towpath.

A cycle path and a pedestrian path cross the entire park, forming a piece of what will become a single green path in the city from the Darsena to the South Park.
