The park in brief

Located in the west of Milan, dedicated to AIDO, the Italian Association of Organ Donors, it is a park suitable for recreational activities for children and teenagers thanks to areas dedicated to play. Those who wish to rest can do so in a series of small squares shaded by ash trees, elms and red oaks. On the western border you can still see the fifteenth-century Sella Nuova farmhouse, once belonging to the Torriani and Visconti families and later the summer residence of the Archinto family.

The flooring is asphalt and concrete.

Architectural heritage and artefacts

Towards Via Sella Nuova is the fifteenth-century farmhouse of the same name that belonged to the Torriani and Visconti families. It became the summer residence of the Archinto family who created an Italian garden. In 1869 the Sella Nuova nucleus was divided up and subsequently annexed to the Municipality.

Among the main tree species

  • silver maple (A. saccharinum)
