The general project objective is to create a park with landscape, naturalistic and cultural value linked to agricultural activities, encouraging use compatible with the context through the valorisation and integration of the characteristic elements present today.

Approximately 70% of the park - even after the enhancement interventions being studied - will remain dedicated to agricultural activity, developing functions of public interest within it, such as teaching, historical memory, and all the recreational and landscape functions with it compatible.

Approximately 30% of the areas will be intended for public use through the implementation of strategic interventions aimed at enhancing specific areas and routes. In summary, the aim will be to enhance the access areas and margins, to redevelop the routes, the irrigation system and related structures, and to enhance the tree/shrub heritage also based on ecological connections and biodiversity.

1) Enhancement of the north entrance (via Dudovich) 
The area subject to intervention has an extension of approximately 1,2 hectares on which a forest area has already been created through a Cariplo loan for the development of ecological connections. The area will thus represent one of the main landing points for the Ticinello Park where new paths for pedestrian and cycle use will be created from which to develop an equipped itinerary dedicated to public use.

2) Enhancement of the east entrance (via Campazzino)
In addition to an overall reorganization of the areas, the project involves the creation of new urban gardens and an educational area consisting of a multifunctional portico, educational greenhouses and an artificial tank for the creation of an aquatic plant nursery. With this intervention, the green areas around the Cascina Campazzino will therefore be enhanced in order to develop, once the entire building complex has been restored to its original function, a multifunctional accommodation center of public interest.

3) Enhancement of the southern edge (via Selvanesco)
To strengthen the perception and use of a context of landscape value (as defined in the P.T.C. of the South Milan Agricultural Park) the creation of a cycle-pedestrian connection system is envisaged. From a first stretch of cycle-pedestrian path parallel to Via Selvanesco, a connection system will unfold with the banks of the Ticinello and with an educational/recreational path to be created in the wooded area created near the canal through a Cariplo loan.

4) Enhancement of hydraulic routes and structures 
To enhance the existing routes, interventions will be planned for the creation of rest areas positioned in significant points, complete with new plantings and furnishing elements; for the valorisation of the irrigation system, the functional and historical-cultural recovery of individual representative artefacts is envisaged, placed on public access routes, in compliance with the construction typologies identified.
