Trotter Park, the historic green on the outskirts

A guide and a leaflet with a botanical route to learn about the history and green heritage of the park together with the Ecological Guards.

For all the structures it hosts and the activities that take place there, Trotter Park is almost a small green city.

Characterized by a decidedly original history and notable botanical richness, the park has had a long and interesting architectural and urban development.

The green area is one of the most important in Zone 2 and is a point of reference for the entire neighborhood.

This guide and the leaflet that accompanies it (downloadable from this page in PDF format), created in 2009 by the Zone 2 Council in collaboration with the Volunteer Ecological Guards and the Green Area, Agriculture and Urban Furnishings, are intended to be a useful tool for all visitors to the park to learn more about the beauties it possesses, starting from the arboreal heritage.

The 175 pages, in addition to collecting information on the botanical and shrubby species of the route, tell the story of the park and the educational experiences that it hosted in the past and which still take place today also thanks to the associations present in the area.

The leaflet instead illustrates in detail the route to follow inside the park to discover the 52 botanical species chosen for the guided tours that the Volunteer Ecological Guards, with competence and enthusiasm, organize periodically.
