Tari payment notice

Where are alerts sent?

Alerts are sent:

  • to the residence address of the person holding the Tari position
  • to the email address for those who have chosen to receive notification by email
  • to the PEC address for all VAT number holders, citizens registered in the national index of digital domiciles - INAD and for those who have registered their digital domicile in the Citizen's File
  • on the IO app.

When are they sent?

  • The sending takes place in instalments, in time to make payments within the deadlines that allow you to choose between the single installment and the split in installments
  • Tari 2023 payment notices they will be available in the citizen's file and sent to citizens in the period from the end of September to November 2023.

To make any payment you must wait to receive the payment notice

You can choose to receive the payment notice via paper or electronic mail. The two options are alternatives to each other.

1. Paper mail
The payment notice is sent via ordinary mail to the address of residence.

2. Email
If you prefer to receive the notification via email, log in to Citizen's file and activate email notification of Tari payment notices.
To receive Tari alerts in this way starting from the 2023 year, activate the notification by July 16, 2023.

If you have not received it it may mean that:

  • you have not declared the occupation of the property:
    - the calculation of the Tari is impossible and the notice cannot be sent
  • you have custom calculations running because you have recently changed your Tari position (following new employment, termination of employment, change in square footage or number of occupants) or because refunds, compensation, etc. need to be applied.
    - the notice will be sent at different times compared to the ordinary sending
    - the deadlines will be different and will provide sufficient time to make payments
  • you received the notification via e-mail or certified email:
    - if you have requested notification via email via Citizen's File
    - if you have an active digital home (see categories at the top of the page)
In these cases the paper version is not sent because it is replaced by electronic sending.

If you lost the alert or email notification message, you can download a copy to your Citizen's file, accessible with SPID user or with Electronic Identity Card.

In addition to the amount to be paid and the due dates, the notice contains the updated payment status and the summary of the counts: debit or credit amounts, compensations, adjustments (excluding any amendments and assessments already in progress).

The debit amounts shown could refer to:

  • payment documents sent and for which payments have not been made: to regularize the situation, consult the section Use the services.
  • documents being processed and not yet issued: to proceed with payment it will be necessary to wait for the notice to be sent, which will indicate deadlines and methods.

Anyone who has recently changed their Tari position (following new employment, termination of employment, change in square footage or number of occupants) may have the case in progress and receive a count based on the previous situation. In these cases, the counts will be updated in subsequent years taking into account compensations, adjustments, etc.

Check on Citizen's file that your Tari position is updated and the effective date of the update. If your Tari position is updated but you still find an error in the amounts to be paid, in the Use the services section you will find the link to send the report to our offices.

It is possible to request an installment of the amount of notices served (by registered letter, certified email or digital address) by following the instructions on the page comune.milano.it/rateazione
