More Involved & Safer Citizens

More Involved & Safer Citizens it is a territorial project aimed at citizens and the most fragile people of all age groups, in particular the elderly, people with disabilities, adults in difficulty, lonely people, isolation and emergency situations.

Also known as Red Envelope project, offers an assistance program carried out by social-health service operators and volunteers who work alongside interested parties to prepare information tools:

  • useful in daily life
  • crucial in difficult situations and medical-health emergencies.

The objectives of the project are:

  • increase people's real and perceived psycho-physical safety
  • encourage their stay at home
  • facilitate relief in emergency situations.

The project, which makes use of digital technologies, prepares new remote assistance tools as well as paths for the inclusion of vulnerable groups and social cohesion in urban life.

The tools identified allow us to overcome medical anonymity, which is important when we are not able to cooperate with rescuers.

It constitutes the main and most visible operational tool which is prepared entirely with the involvement of the person.

La Red Envelope, with the logo of the Municipality of Milan, is individual and contains four cards:

  1. Milan useful numbers card
  2. Personal card
  3. Medical-Health Card (with the collaboration of the GP, General Practitioner - former Family Doctor)
  4. Lifesaver card.

La Red Envelope clearly “photographs” the state of the person. It must be kept at home, hanging near the entrance, available both for ordinary daily needs (e.g. ready availability of data, amnesia, learning about changes, etc.) and for critical situations (illness, loss of consciousness, etc.). ).

It is also a tool for family members, neighbors, caretakers, emergency workers and all people called to intervene in an emergency.

The data of the Red Envelope they are updated as necessary and in any case every 6 months.

In case of emergency, from which the acronym ICE derives, each person must have one or more telephone numbers of contact persons available to trace quickly and efficiently and to call in case of emergency.

These numbers ICE can be entered:

  • in the mobile phone
  • in the Numbers and Useful Data Envelope
  • in the Salvavita Identity Card (CIS) – Salvavita Card (TS)

It is useful to always have ICE numbers, both at home and abroad.

Those who do not have contact persons - and therefore have difficulty obtaining ICE numbers - can indicate a service operator, a volunteer or a neighbour.

It is a “portable lifesaver”, which the person carries with him or her along with the registered identity card.

The adoption of a for people with CIS or TS is being tested bracelet lifesaver which signals its presence to the rescuers.

In the CIS there are photographs, personal data and ATS (formerly ASL), bureaucratic data, ICE telephone numbers and, importantly, life-saving medical-health data taken from the Life-saving Card of the Home Delivery Envelope or created ad hoc.

Purpose of the CIS is to provide safety during external movements of people in difficulty (road safety for pedestrians, support for the elderly) and to facilitate rescue operations in the event of intervention by Emergency Operators (112, Ambulances, Emergency Room).
To obtain the CIS, the collaboration of your General Practitioner (GP) is essential, who takes action to provide the medical-health profile (pathologies/allergies/therapies and life-saving data).

for homeless people, the CIS has been converted into TS or the Life Saving Card.

Initiative that takes place when three or more condominium owners of the same building join the project using the Busta, the ICE and the CI.S.

It is a service that facilitates relations of good neighbourhood, solidarity and mutual assistance and the possibility of taking advantage of quick, easy and economical support in case of need.

It also involves the involvement of custodians and condominium administrators and of those who, even informally, are sensitive to social life in the condominium, in the street and in the neighborhood.
