TELL ME 2024 – 5th Survey of the Homeless in Milan
It took place in the week of 12 - 16 February 2024 tell me, the survey of the homeless in Milan promoted by the Municipality of Milan and financed under the POC - Complementary Inclusion Operational Program.
The project was carried out in collaboration with the "Ing. Rodolfo Debenedetti" Foundation, to which the service is entrusted, and with the numerous private social entities that operate in the field of services for homeless people and to combat serious adult marginalization .
The objective of the project is to collect the number of homeless people present in the city of Milan to provide a current snapshot of the phenomenon and therefore better understand the needs of homeless people and the dynamics that lead to marginalization and extreme poverty.
The 2024 census was the fifth, after those of June 2023, and the winters of 2018, 2013, 2008, of which it is intended to be the natural continuation.
It is possible to download the presentation of some preliminary results obtained from June 2023 survey. The research group will prepare a final report during spring 2024, which will include the results of both the summer (June 2023) and winter (February 2024) surveys.
