Festival of Confiscated Assets 2023

The event took place from 27 October to 2 November Festival of Confiscated Assets, the event organized with the aim of informing and raising awareness among citizens about the action to combat the mafias in Milan and about the reuse of assets removed from the control and use of organized crime.

The tenth edition, entitled “Understanding the mafia to defeat it", involved the involvement of schools and citizens in various initiatives: meetings, sporting activities and moments of discussion with the protagonists of the fight against the mafia and with the associations that collaborate with the Municipality in the management of over 200 real estate units.

Discover the Good 
Some of the assets confiscated from the mafias open their doors to Milanese high school students. Thanks to the collaboration of Libera's volunteers, students become aware of the realities that, thanks to the work of the organisations, are coming back into full light.

Mafias in Lombardy: Strategies and tools to combat them
Antimafia Academy training course, promoted by WikiMafia, with the aim of expanding knowledge and awareness of the mafia phenomenon, with particular attention to mafia infiltration in the economy and politics. The course is structured in three modules, for a total of six reports and 3 actual hours of teaching.

Market of products made inside assets confiscated from the mafias: civil economy paths.

Meeting and comparisons between rugby teams in the Iseo Sports Center, reopened after the mafia-related fire of 2011.
The rugby matches, organized by Amatori & Union Rugby Milano, involve children and adults.

From the massacres of the Corleonesi to silence. From Totò Riina to an organization without leaders.
Has Cosa Nostra won or lost? Dialogue with high school students in Milan, who during the year participate in courses to learn about assets confiscated from the mafia, and expert reporters of the events linked to mafia infiltration into the political, entrepreneurial and civil fabric of Lombardy.
