Reoccupation of the cell for new deceased: what it is, how it works

The reoccupation of the cell consists in the burial in a cell already occupied of a new box of ashes of the spouse, civil partner, relatives or relatives. The deceased person must be entitled to be buried in the cemeteries of Milan pursuant to art. 10 of Municipal regulation of funeral and cemetery services.

The deceased person for whom the building was originally granted must return to the building as ashes, under penalty of forfeiture of the concession pursuant to art. 20 of Municipal regulation of funeral and cemetery services.

Reoccupation can be requested by the concessionaire of the building or, in the event of his death, by his spouse or civil partner or - in their absence - by all the closest relatives of the same degree. In the absence of the latter, by all relatives of the same degree.

It is permitted for the remaining period of the original concession and not for renewed cells.

In the case of a perpetual concession, the reoccupation of the building, single or grouped, determines the forfeiture of the perpetuity of all the buildings.

The authorization for burial is signed by the licensee of the artefact or, in the event of his death, by the signature of his spouse or civil partner or - in their absence - of all the closest relatives of the same degree; in the absence of the latter of all relatives of the same degree.
