The Monte Velino Spring Section welcomes a total of 12 children aged between 24 and 36 months and is located on the ground floor, inside the Monte Velino Nursery School.
The Spring Section is characterized as an experience "in continuity" with the nursery school, with which it shares the spaces and, gradually over the course of the year, the activities and is characterized by a planning that integrates the specific care dimensions of the nursery with the educational purposes of nursery school.
The Spring Section, at the end of the educational year, promotes and supports the transition of girls and boys to the "relevant" nursery school, to guarantee the "continuity" of the educational path, without the need to proceed with re-enrolment.
Lunch is provided by Milano Ristorazione which manages its transport and daily delivery. Lunch is administered by the educational staff who accompanies girls and boys on their journey of self-knowledge and sensorial experimentation.
The educational college, coordinated by the Manager, is responsible for the planning and implementation of the educational paths promoted during the year. In the presence of girls or boys with disabilities, the presence of educational support staff is expected.
The auxiliary staff ensures the care and cleaning of the school spaces.
The section is the privileged place of emotional and relational reference in which girls and boys acquire safety and develop autonomy. It is designed for and with children and is divided into specific and diversified spaces where girls and boys play, discover and experiment together with their peers and educators.
In the section there is a space dedicated to resting for girls and boys, a space for lunch and adjacent toilets. The educators, in preparing these spaces and these moments, guarantee an organization of the educational day that is careful to encourage the child's actions and self-care, in the constant presence and accompaniment of the adult.
Exploring the "outside", be it a courtyard or the school garden, means getting closer and exploring the cycle of life and the seasons, researching nature, gradually getting to know the world we live in, to understand it and learn to take care of it.
Girls and boys can take advantage of a large garden that surrounds the entire structure.
