Municipality 2 – Educational Unit 10
Milan - via Sant' Erlembaldo, 4
The Sant'Erlembardo Nursery School welcomes girls and boys between 3 and 6 years old divided into 4 sections located on a single ground floor.
Each section is made up of a maximum of 25 girls and boys and has two reference educators.
In our school all the sections are "heterogeneous", that is, made up of girls and boys aged 3, 4 and 5.
Each section has its own dedicated space and nearby toilets.
In addition to the sections, girls and boys access various educational experiences in the common areas of the service: motor classroom, two lounges and a large perimeter garden.
The educational college, coordinated by the manager, is responsible for the planning and implementation of the educational paths promoted during the year. In the presence of boys or girls with disabilities, the presence of educational support staff is expected.
The auxiliary staff present ensures the care and cleaning of the school spaces.
Lunch is provided by Milano Ristorazione which manages its transport and daily delivery.
The section is the privileged place of emotional and relational reference in which girls and boys acquire safety and develop autonomy. It is designed for and with children and is divided into specific and diversified spaces where girls and boys play, discover and experiment together with peers and educators.
Our 4 sections are called: Air, Water, Earth and Fire.
Three sections directly overlook the school garden, one section is accessed from the secretariat side.
The two lounges adjacent to the sections are used as a dining space.
In the sections there are spaces dedicated to manipulative, sensorial and cognitive laboratories and a space dedicated to rest for girls and boys.
Exploring the "outside", be it a courtyard, the school garden or a neighborhood street, means getting closer and exploring the cycle of life and the seasons, researching nature, gradually getting to know the world we live in, to understand it and learn to take care of it.
In the school there is a large perimeter garden used in all seasons which allows you to experiment with natural materials and learn new ways of using them, stimulating creativity and imagination.
