The section is the privileged place of emotional and relational reference in which girls and boys acquire safety and develop autonomy. It is designed for and with children and is divided into specific and diversified spaces where girls and boys play, discover and experiment together with peers and educators.
Our five sections are called: Blue, Yellow, Pink, Turquoise and Green.
Each section directly overlooks the garden and the central hall which is a common space of the school.
In the section there is a space dedicated to the rest of girls and boys, which during the day is used as an opportune space for reading.
The common spaces are designed as places to welcome adults and children and are designed to accompany girls and boys in exploring contexts and places even "beyond" their own section. In the common areas, laboratories, ateliers and installations are offered which help girls and boys to experiment with different languages and develop multiple learnings. In our school, the hall is a central space within which there is a large library, a motor space and two spaces containing macro-constructions.
Exploring the "outside", be it a courtyard, the school garden or a neighborhood street, means getting closer and exploring the cycle of life and the seasons, researching nature, gradually getting to know the world we live in, to understand it and learn to take care of it.
In the school there is a large garden equipped with large wooden play structures and a tiered auditorium which encourages moments of outdoor reading and/or theatrical performances. A perch is positioned in front of each classroom which stimulates play activities adjacent to the section.
