The Gentilino Nursery School welcomes girls and boys between 3 and 6 years old divided into 6 sections spread over two floors.

Each section is made up of a maximum of 25 girls and boys and has two reference educators.
In our school, the sections are "heterogeneous", that is, made up of girls and boys aged 3, 4 and 5.
In addition to the sections, girls and boys access various educational experiences in the common areas of the service: motor hall, creative laboratory with Montessori space for "practical life", library and two gardens.

The educational college, coordinated by the Manager, is responsible for the planning and implementation of the educational paths promoted during the year. In the presence of girls or boys with disabilities, the presence of educational support staff is expected.

The auxiliary staff ensures the care and cleaning of the school spaces.

Lunch is provided by Milano Ristorazione which manages its transport and daily delivery

The section is the privileged place of emotional and relational reference in which girls and boys acquire safety and develop autonomy. It is designed for and with children and is divided into specific and diversified spaces where girls and boys play, discover and experiment together with their classmates and teachers.
Our 6 sections are called: Crocodiles, Dolphins and Penguins (on the ground floor); Leopards, Pandas and Foxes (on the first floor).
Each section overlooks a common corridor.
In the section there is a space dedicated to the rest of girls and boys.

The common spaces are designed as places to welcome adults and children and are designed to accompany girls and boys in exploring contexts and places even "beyond" their own section. In the common areas, laboratories, ateliers and installations are offered which help girls and boys to experiment with different languages and develop multiple learnings.
In our school, the hall on the ground floor is organized for lunch for the sections on the first floor, while those on the ground floor eat in the classroom. The hall on the first floor has instead been set up as a motor space. Other common spaces present at the school are the creative laboratory and the library. Both the ground floor and the first floor are equipped with toilets.

Exploring the "outside", be it a courtyard, the school garden or a neighborhood street, means getting closer and exploring the cycle of life and the seasons, researching nature, gradually getting to know the world we live in, to understand it and learn to take care of it.
In the school there are two gardens in which there are vegetable gardens for sowing, care and harvesting activities. Through these, children learn the principles of environmental and food education in a context that promotes their physical and psychological well-being.
