The section is the privileged place of emotional and relational reference in which girls and boys acquire safety and develop autonomy. It is designed for and with children and is divided into specific and diversified spaces where girls and boys play, discover and experiment together with their peers and educators.
Our sections are called Poppies, Daisies, Tulips, Monoi and Sunflowers
Almost all of them overlook the school courtyard, one on the common corridor.
Lunch space is located within each section.
In the section there is a space dedicated to the rest of girls and boys.
The common spaces are conceived and designed to accompany girls and boys in exploring contexts and places even "beyond" their own section, sharing their use at scheduled times with children and educators from other sections. In the common areas, laboratories, ateliers and installations are offered which help girls and boys to experiment with different languages and develop multiple learnings.
In our school, the hall is a multifunctional space: it coincides with the entrance hall but is also used as a motor space.
There is also a reading space that can be used in turn by the sections and a space dedicated to the creative laboratory.
Exploring the "outside", be it a courtyard, the school garden or a neighborhood street, means approaching and exploring the cycle of life and the seasons, researching nature, gradually getting to know the world that lives there, to understand it and learn to take care of it.
In our school there is a very large courtyard with trees that we share with the primary school.
