Milan - via Lope de Vega, 39

The Lope de Vega nursery school welcomes a total of 75 girls and boys divided into 3 sections located on a single floor.

Each section is made up of a maximum of 25 girls and boys and has two reference educators.

In our school the 3 sections are "heterogeneous", that is, made up of girls and boys aged 3, 4 and 5.

Each section has its own space dedicated to rest and nearby toilets.

In addition to the sections, girls and boys access various educational experiences in the common areas of the service: the space used as a creative laboratory, the space for physical activities, the library and the garden.

Overall, 8 educators are employed in the School, coordinated by a Manager.

The educational college is responsible for the planning and implementation of the educational paths promoted during the year. In the presence of girls or boys with disabilities, the presence of educational support staff is expected. The auxiliary staff present ensures the care and cleaning of the School spaces.

The section is the privileged place of emotional and relational reference in which girls and boys acquire safety and develop autonomy. It is designed for and with children and is divided into specific and diversified spaces where girls and boys play, discover and experiment together with their peers and educators.

Our 3 sections are called: Primroses, Sunflowers and Poppies.

Each section directly overlooks the school garden and the lounge, set up to allow girls and boys to carry out activities chosen independently.

The lunch space is divided into 3 distinct spaces, one for each class group; 2 spaces are located in the living room while the 3rd space is inside a section.

In the section there is a space dedicated to the rest of girls and boys.

The common spaces are conceived and designed to accompany girls and boys in exploring contexts and places even "beyond" their own section, sharing their use at scheduled times with children and educators from other sections.

In the common areas, laboratories, ateliers and installations are offered which help girls and boys to experiment with different languages and develop multiple learnings.

In our school the space in front of the classrooms is organized to allow the carrying out of activities chosen independently by the children who use it in small groups. In the living room there is a space used as a painting and manipulation laboratory and a motor space. The library allows you to carry out the "reading project" managed by all the educators.

Exploring the "outside", be it a courtyard, the school garden or a neighborhood street, means approaching and exploring the cycle of life and the seasons, researching nature, gradually getting to know the world we live in, to understand it and learn to take care of it.

The garden of our School is large, shaded and has equipped corners with special garden structures. The sowing of flowers is also carried out annually.
