Municipality 3 – Educational Unit 14

Milan, via Goldoni 13

The GOLDONI Nursery School welcomes girls and boys between 3 and 6 years old divided into 12 sections spread over two floors.

Each section is made up of a maximum of 25 girls and boys and has two reference educators.
Given the large size of the school, there are "bi-age" sections made up of girls and boys of only two ages, and sections homogeneous by age, made up of children of the same year.
Each section has its own dedicated space.
In addition to the sections, girls and boys access various educational experiences in the common areas of the service: the lounge, the painting workshop, the library/reading space, the garden, two psychomotor spaces.

The educational college, coordinated by the Manager, is responsible for the planning and implementation of the educational paths promoted during the year. In the presence of girls or boys with disabilities, the presence of educational support staff is expected.

The auxiliary staff ensures the care and cleaning of the school spaces.

Lunch is provided by Milano Ristorazione which manages its transport and daily delivery.

The section is the privileged place of emotional and relational reference in which girls and boys acquire safety and develop autonomy. It is designed for and with children and is divided into specific and diversified spaces where girls and boys play, discover and experiment together with their peers, teachers and educators.

Our sections are named after colors.
Each section overlooks a common corridor.
In our school, rest time is provided for children who express the need for it, both in soft corners inside the sections and in designated spaces outside the section.

The common spaces are designed as places to welcome adults and children and are designed to accompany girls and boys in exploring contexts and places even "beyond" their own section. In the common areas, laboratories, ateliers and installations are offered which help girls and boys to experiment with different languages and develop multiple learnings.
In our school there are painting laboratories, two assembly laboratories, a library and two spaces for psychomotor skills.

Exploring the "outside", be it a courtyard, the school garden or a neighborhood street, means approaching and exploring the cycle of life and the seasons, researching nature, gradually getting to know the world we live in, to understand it and learn to take care of it.
In our school there is a garden, which is used by all sections on a rotation basis.
