The section is the privileged place of emotional and relational reference in which girls and boys acquire safety and develop autonomy. It is designed for and with children and yes
articulates in specific and diversified spaces where girls and boys play, discover and experiment together with peers and educators.
Our four sections are called Orange, Red, Lilac and Green.
The classrooms are large and well lit, with the possibility of directly accessing the external courtyard (3 sections out of 4) and are structured in corners, which allow various different activities and games.
The corners can vary according to the children's interest and the educational project and are structured in such a way as to stimulate the children's creativity and imagination.
The classrooms are a privileged place for all activities and in all sections we find: welcome corner - circle time, reading and relaxation corner, symbolic corner,
graphic – pictorial.
In the section there is a space dedicated to the rest of girls and boys.
The common spaces are designed as places to welcome adults and children and are designed to accompany girls and boys in exploring contexts and places even "beyond" their own
section.
In the common areas, laboratories, ateliers and installations are offered which help girls and boys to experiment with different languages and develop multiple
learnings.
In our school, we have a laboratory/library which consists of a multipurpose room dedicated both to reading, with a part used as a library, and to various activities
workshops in small/large groups thanks to the provision of spaces independently accessible to children. There is also a motor hall which is the first classroom you come across
upon entering the school, at the beginning of the corridor on the right, before the other sections.
It is a large space equipped with equipment and soft mattresses for carrying out motor and free-play/dramatization activities. Being very large it is also used for plays and performances.
Exploring the "outside", be it a courtyard, the school garden or a neighborhood street, means getting closer and exploring the cycle of life and the seasons, researching nature, knowing
gradually the world we live in, to understand it and learn to take care of it.
In the school the external space consists of a courtyard shared with the Istituto Omnicomprehensive Musicale
Cuoco-Sassi, delimited by a fence that defines the part dedicated to the Dandolo nursery school.
