Municipality 4 - Contracted municipal nursery*

Milan - Corso XXII Marzo, 59/A

The nursery schools under contract are educational services provided in structures owned by the Municipality of Milan, the management of which is entrusted to an Economic Operator who won the tender, who adopts the operating rules and pedagogical lines of directly managed municipal nursery schools.

The XXII Marzo nursery school welcomes girls and boys aged between 13 and 36 months and is located on the mezzanine floor of a structure, which houses the nursery school, which has an independent entrance, and a nursery school. training offering language and interior decoration courses managed by the municipality of Milan, with which the nursery shares the entrance gate from number 59/a and the Antonianum library, managed by the Antonianum cultural centre, where conferences, debates, art exhibitions and artistic auditions. Access to the nursery is not directly on Corso XXII marzo. You need to walk down a path and follow the signs that lead to a glass door from which you reach the language school information point on the right and a further door on the left which is the actual entrance to the nursery.
The single section is organized in such a way as to accommodate groups of "medium-large" children (children between 13 and 36 months) in balanced numbers and responsive to the specific needs of the age group.
In addition to the sections, girls and boys access various educational experiences in the common areas of the nursery: laboratory/atelier space, library/reading space, garden.
Lunch is provided by Milano Ristorazione which manages its transport and daily delivery. Lunch is administered by the educational staff who accompanies girls and boys on their journey of self-knowledge and sensorial experimentation.

The educational college, coordinated by the Manager, is responsible for the planning and implementation of the educational paths promoted during the year. In the presence of girls or boys with disabilities, the presence of educational support staff is expected.

The section represents the space where girls and boys spend the moments of greatest emotional involvement during the educational day: educators take care of girls and boys and support their growth path through the design of spaces and the setting up of experiences educational.

In the single section there is a space dedicated to resting for girls and boys, a space for lunch and a space for care and hygiene. The educators, in preparing these spaces and these moments, guarantee an organization of the educational day that is careful to encourage the child's actions, the exploration of spaces and materials and self-care, with the presence and constant accompaniment of the adult.

The common spaces are designed to promote motor, sensory and laboratory experiences consistent with the developmental stages of girls and boys and gradual over time.

«Going out», living in larger spaces than the space of the section, gradually exploring the garden or courtyard means expanding the possibilities of discovery and experimentation and offering educational paths that are gradually more and more articulated and complex.
There is a garden in the nursery. Outside the nursery, but considered an integral part of the structure, there is a well-equipped garden which is used by the educators throughout the year as an enrichment space for the children and a place for discoveries that bring the little ones closer to the world of nature. This will represent a source of new cognitive, relational and emotional stimuli to share with your classmates.
