The Orlando nursery welcomes girls and boys aged between 13 and 36 months and is spread over a single ground floor.
The sections are organized in such a way as to accommodate groups of "medium-large" children (children between 13 and 36 months) in balanced numbers that respond to the specific needs of the age group.
In addition to the reference section, girls and boys access various educational experiences in the common areas of the nursery: space for symbolic and construction play, manipulation workshop, painting studio, reading space, motor space and garden.
Il Nido has an internal kitchen managed by Milano Ristorazione. Lunch is administered by the educational staff who accompanies girls and boys on their journey of self-knowledge and sensorial experimentation.
The educational college, coordinated by the Manager, is responsible for the planning and implementation of the educational paths promoted during the year. In the presence of girls or boys with disabilities, the presence of educational support staff is expected.
The auxiliary staff ensures the care and cleaning of the nursery spaces.
The section represents the space where girls and boys spend the moments of greatest emotional involvement during the educational day: educators take care of girls and boys and support their growth path through the design of spaces and the setting up of experiences educational.
Our sections are called Yellow and Blue.
For each section there is a space dedicated to resting for girls and boys, a space for lunch and a space for care and hygiene. The educators, in preparing these spaces and these moments, guarantee an organization of the educational day that is careful to encourage the child's actions, the exploration of spaces and materials and self-care, with the presence and constant accompaniment of the adult.
The sections directly overlook the school garden.
The common spaces are designed as places to welcome adults and children and are designed to accompany girls and boys in exploring, gradually over the course of the year, contexts and places even "beyond" their own section. The common spaces are designed to promote motor, sensory and laboratory experiences consistent with the developmental stages of girls and boys and gradual over time.
In our nursery, there are laboratory spaces dedicated to symbolic, manipulative and pictorial play. There is a reading corner and a motor space.
«Going out», living in larger spaces than the space of the section, gradually exploring the garden or courtyard means expanding the possibilities of discovery and experimentation and offering educational paths that are gradually more and more articulated and complex.
In the nursery there is a large garden for play and exploration activities.
