The section represents the space where girls and boys spend the moments of greatest emotional and cognitive involvement during the educational day: educators take care of girls and boys and support their growth path through the design of the spaces and the setting up educational experiences aimed at supporting the peculiarities of each individual albeit from an inclusive and community perspective.
Our sections are called Yellow (small), Orange (medium) and Red (large).
For each section there is a space dedicated to resting for girls and boys, a space for lunch and a space for care and hygiene. The educators, in preparing these spaces and these moments, guarantee an organization of the educational day that is careful to encourage the child's actions, the exploration of spaces and materials and self-care, with the presence and constant accompaniment of the adult.
Each section overlooks a reference terrace. The garden, shared with the nursery school, is enjoyed in a small group.
The common spaces are designed as places to welcome adults and children and are designed to accompany girls and boys in exploring, gradually over the course of the year, contexts and places even "beyond" their own section. The common spaces are designed to promote motor, sensory and laboratory experiences consistent with the developmental stages of girls and boys and gradual over time.
In our nursery there is an experience room dedicated to decanting, dressing up, games with loose parts and heuristic games; the motor space outlined by an anti-shock mat set up with rubbery sky elements and a wooden structure with slide; the magic room is set up with multisensory materials for use by children (light table, colored light games...).
«Going out», living in larger spaces than the section space, gradually exploring the garden or courtyard means expanding the possibilities of discovery and experimentation and offering gradually more articulated and complex educational paths.
In the Nest there is a garden and three terraces.
