The section represents the space where girls and boys spend the moments of greatest emotional involvement during the educational day: educators take care of girls and boys and support their growth path through the design of spaces and the setting up of experiences educational.
Our sections are called: Daisies, Tulips and Sunflowers.
For each section there is a space dedicated to resting for girls and boys, a space for lunch and a space for care and hygiene. The educators, in preparing these spaces and these moments, guarantee an organization of the educational day that is careful to encourage the child's actions, the exploration of spaces and materials and self-care, with the presence and constant accompaniment of the 'adult.
The sections overlook the garden that surrounds the entire structure. In the «Daisies» section, the spaces have been designed with various soft corners and furniture suitable for "first steps".
The «Tulips» and «Sunflowers» sections welcome medium-large children; inside them, play corners have been designed, such as, for example, the symbolic "pretend to..." corner, the reading corner, the painting, manipulation and decanting corner.
The common spaces are designed as places to welcome adults and children and are designed to accompany girls and boys in exploring, gradually over the course of the year, contexts and places even "beyond" their own section. The common spaces are designed to promote motor, sensory and laboratory experiences consistent with the developmental stages of girls and boys and gradual over time.
In our nursery there is a motor space where, through movement, boys and girls refine their motor skills, consolidating identity and autonomy, expressing their emotions.
The library space creates a relationship between the reader and the listener, increases the development of attention and encourages the creation of mental images.
The experiential laboratories are set up with natural and recycled materials; here children can move independently and spontaneously. The game material is proposed by the educators and sometimes chosen independently by the children.
«Going out», living in larger spaces than the section space, gradually exploring the garden or courtyard means expanding the possibilities of discovery and experimentation and offering gradually more articulated and complex educational paths.
In the nursery there is a garden with a special part dedicated to the "Daisies" section and a part for the other two sections, equipped with games and numerous shaded spaces created by the trees and gazebos. The garden is used all months of the year.
