Open Schools: what it is and how it works

A school is open when children, families and citizens can experience it beyond normal lesson hours, when it becomes a civic centre, a place where everyone can experience the sense of community and good citizenship practices.

The Open Schools service is available to city comprehensive schools to support them, encourage their openness to the territory and enrich the curricular and extra-curricular training offer through:

  • assignment of annual contributions for open school activities
  • distribution of any donations of IT/educational material
  • collection and dissemination of free activities for schools
  • communication of useful information to schools
  • update of the interactive map of the city's comprehensive schools, with an information sheet for each school complex.
