Call Urban Factor 2023/2024

The Municipality of Milan launched, in May 2023, the Call Urban Factor 2023/2024, for the development of research projects capable of examining and addressing emerging issues in contemporary metropolitan cities, with particular reference to the issues of urban regeneration of a city that faces the challenge of climate change and the related impacts on the city and its inhabitants, as well as the possibility of directing urban transformations to contain the growing expulsion from the city of Milan of the most fragile population groups and young generations.

Research publications Call Urban Factor 2019

In coherence and implementation of the strategies and programming indicated by the Single Programming Document (DUP) 2023-2025, which provides, among other things, that "also for the three-year period 2023 - 2025 (...) the related activities will be followed up ( ...) to the promotion of cultural debate, planning cultural promotion events linked to town planning and urban regeneration by the Urban Center", intends to continue with the editorial activity started in collaboration with La Triennale Milano, and therefore proceed with the publication of the materials produced as part of the research conducted by the groups selected as part of the 2019 "Call For Ideas Urban Factor" and the itineraries carried out in 2022 and 2023.

Thematic Itineraries 2023

Milano Urban Center, with the Department of Urban Regeneration, promoted the carrying out of 5 thematic itineraries in the months of June and July with the aim of providing effective information on the future transformations of the city. These are five routes, lasting approximately 2 hours each, the first three of which are included in the “Arch. Week”. In addition to Councilor Tancredi, there will be the managers of the Department's offices and representatives of the private entities involved in the regeneration interventions to illustrate and explain the history and transformations of the neighborhoods, explore the issues and answer the questions of the participants.

Public program

Milano Urban Center, in order to promote the study of the city and its changes, has defined a Public Program with the aim, on the one hand, of investigating how places of living, working, schooling and meeting have been modified in recent times and, on the other hand, to emphasize the need to share, with as wide a number of stakeholders as possible, the different project phases so as to design a strategically innovative city. In 2023, the Public Program will consist of a series of public meetings dedicated to the themes: "Greenery and public space", "New workplaces", "Proximity schools" and "The regeneration of infrastructures".
