The programming of Milano Urban Center 2021 included a series of activities and initiatives based on the in-depth analysis of some research themes and the development of a Public Program and related events. The reflection on the city was carried forward thanks to the involvement of the twelve groups selected for the year 2020 through the Urban Factor Call.

The activity was divided into two semesters.

In the first semester the groups were asked to develop four themes:

1. Reinventing Cities, regeneration and innovation;
2. The Olympic venues, cities of the future;
3. Forestry, nature in the city, urban nature;
4. Post-covid city, 15 minute city.

In the second semester, the groups were instead asked to work starting from the main themes within the 23rd International Exhibition of Triennale Milano, proposing educational activities and in-depth talks, accompanying the introductory process to the event.
