The project, of great strategic environmental importance, is part of the areas of peri-urban transformation included within the areas of the Southern Agricultural Park. More generally, the proposal envisages the recovery of a historic rural settlement whose productive function has ceased in over the most recent years. The urban plan is, therefore, aimed at avoiding the complete degradation of a building, typical of the Lombardy plain, through the reconversion of the entire complex to residential purposes and other uses compatible with it.
The intervention will also allow the current Via Macconago to be redeveloped with the aim of contributing to better serving the nearby facilities of public or general interest.
The project includes:
- recovery interventions of existing buildings for residential purposes and construction of new buildings (residence and compatible functions);
- redevelopment interventions of open spaces through the creation of areas intended for public use (squares, equipped green areas, etc.);
- recovery and restoration interventions of the Church of San Carlo (17th century) to be used for public services or of general public interest;
- redevelopment interventions on existing roads through widening of the road section, planting of new trees, sidewalks on both sides, revision of public lighting, creation of parking areas, etc.
