Durando-Andreoli-Morghen - Mandatory Implementation Plan n.9 (PA9)

The mandatory Implementation Plan called PA9 - between via Durando to the east, Andreoli to the south and Morghen to the north - is part of the historic district of Bovisa in the area between via Cosenz, Bovisasca, Candiani and Don Minzoni characterized by a functional fabric still mixed and by the central presence of the Polytechnic headquarters, not far from the Bovisa FNM railway hub. The Plan in question represents the central piece (about 20 thousand mXNUMX) of the transformations taking place in the aforementioned area and is characterized by the establishment of a new residence, also for Polytechnic students, on the edges of the new central green and paved space , a true new square in the neighborhood.

The Plan also provides for the arrangement and redevelopment of surrounding road axes, car parks and intersections, enhancing the "pedestrian-friendly" area in which it is inserted.

The project in particular provides:

  • the establishment of a new residence for university students both in the free regime (building B, for approximately 350 places) and in the affiliated regime (building A, for approximately 250 places), with commercial spaces at the foot of the buildings;
  • the creation of a large green square of approximately 10 thousand mXNUMX;
  • the pedestrianization and redevelopment of the entire system of via Andreoli and via Pantaleo;
  • the complete arrangement of the car park on the corner between via Durando and via Cosenz;
  • the construction of the roundabout at the intersection between Cosenz and Bovisasca streets, appropriately resolving a narrow and dangerous knot.

In progress

  • Implementation agreement stipulated on 1 August 2018
  • Qualifying qualification for all public works and for the intervention of free residence, presented and effective
  • Qualifying qualification for social housing (subsidized university residence), presented but not yet effective

The new settlement aims to complete the building system surrounding the new large green square.

The in-line building located to the south differentiates the height of its buildings, maintaining a height of 4 floors, and therefore homogeneous with the existing curtain, along via Andreoli and a profile two levels higher towards the square north.

The establishment of university residence allows the completion of the building which remained in its structural skeleton for approximately 20 years.

Finally, the square maintains a more mineral character towards the Polytechnic and is characterized by a greener appearance towards the interior, with a couple of small hills designed to enhance existing trees and for new plantings.
