The Territorial Agreement was signed on 22 December 2016 and represents the organizational tool for achieving the public interests already indicated in the Memorandum of Understanding already signed on 5 October 2015. On 28 February 2022, the amendment to the Agreement was signed according to the addresses approved by the Supervisory Board in the meeting of 21 October 2021.
Garibaldi Barracks Compendium
On 25 November 2021, the urban planning agreement was signed between the Municipality of Milan, the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, the State Property Agency and the Prefect of Milan regarding the transformation of the Garibaldi Barracks into a university campus in implementation of the Integrated Territorial Security Agreement for the Development stipulated on 22 December 2016.
On 12 May 2022 (WF 2317/2022 - Protocol n° 266522/2022) a SCIA was presented for the implementation of the interventions included in the first functional section. The start of work was announced on 22 June 2022.
Montello Barracks Compendium
The procedure is the responsibility of the Ministry of the Interior (State Police).
By Decree of the Interregional Superintendent OO.PP. (prot. n PRBO.RU2020.0000795 of 17 January 2020) the urban and building location of the definitive project relating to the construction of the new headquarters of the State Police of Milan has been ascertained through a systematic set of redevelopment, restoration and conservative rehabilitation works , renovation and new construction of specific buildings, in agreement with the Lombardy Region, and the definitive project of the intervention itself was approved for the purposes referred to in Presidential Decree 383/1994.
On 23 September 2020, with Decree of the Interregional Superintendent for Public Works n. 15141, the definitive project of the interventions to be carried out in the compendium for the transformation into the new headquarters of the State Police has been approved.
Remediation activities began in April 2022 and are continuing. The general project of the complex aimed at its refunctionalization has been validated by the responsible body and is being approved by the public works authority.
Santa Barbara Barracks Compendium
The procedure is the responsibility of the Ministry of Defence.
By Decree of the Interregional Superintendent OO.PP. n. 10823 of 24 June 2020, the executive project for the building renovation of the multifunctional building used for the provisioning service and conference rooms was approved following demolition and reconstruction of the existing building.
As part of the signing of the amendments to the Territorial Agreement, the assignment of engineering services relating to the design and the subsequent assignment of the works for the execution of the works is envisaged.
