Spoleto Venini

The new square between Spoleto and Venini streets was inaugurated on 19 September 2019 - as part of the "Open Squares" Tactical Urban Planning project.

A colored flooring in shades of yellow, light blue and blue delimits the new pedestrian area which, with plants, racks, picnic and ping pong tables and resting benches, aims to become a place of sociality and interaction for the whole neighborhood , but above all for the children of the "Ciresola" primary school, who will be able to enter and exit the school in complete safety.

The intervention, which included a reorganization of the road network in order to encourage 'gentle' mobility - according to the requests of the "Mobì" project, presented in the last participatory budget, in continuity with the 'TrentaMi in Verde' project, already carried out in via Rovereto and in the exedra of the Trotter Park - has an experimental nature, the outcome of which will be monitored in the coming months by listening to the inhabitants of the area.

The project was carried out in collaboration with "Bloomberg Associates" and the support of "Nacto Global Designing Cities Initiative"; the furnishings were donated by the company "Vestre" with the mediation of the "Norwegian Foreign Trade" office.

The coloring was carried out thanks to "Retake Milano", together with the volunteers who joined the initiative, the "Genitori Ciresola" association and "Radio NoLo", who will take care of this new public space.
