The Pontano/Morandi intervention is part of the broader reactivation of the long railway that goes from via Padova to viale Monza. After the inclusion of the walls in the Muri Liberi project in 2019, this year's tactical intervention will have the Pontano/Morandi/Pimentel/Russo intersection as its fulcrum, with the aim of connecting, through a cycle route, Government Square Temporary at Parco Trotter and via Rovereto, site of another intervention in favor of soft mobility.
Pedestrian mobility along the railway in the stretch from via Morandi to viale Monza will also be made easier, with an enlargement of the pedestrian space with only signs. The intervention is part of the broader Tunnel Boulevard plan which aims to transform the area into an open-air museum.
