Redevelopment works at the Consul Marcello school

Redevelopment work is underway on the Primary School of the “Console Marcello” Comprehensive Institute in via Console Marcello 9, in the Villapizzone district.
 The interventions planned as part of the #QuartierPlan of the #Milan Municipality are aimed at restoring the safety and usability conditions of the building built in the 50s and concern:
the structural consolidation, the seismic improvement, the removal of materials containing asbestos, the re-roofing, the replacement of the windows and all the finishes, the creation of two new external safety staircases, the obtaining of the fire prevention certificate, the renovation of mechanical and electrical systems, redevelopment of external areas.
The demolition and asbestos removal works have already been completed and the reconstruction works will begin shortly, in addition to those involving the gym, changing rooms and warehouse.

Extraordinary maintenance Roggia Vettabbia

The extraordinary maintenance work on the Roggia Vettabbia is nearing completion 
 The intervention involves the reconstruction of the riverbed and banks of the Roggia in the section where it flows in the open through Chiaravalle before entering the municipality of San Donato. The works involve not only the restoration, but also the raising of the damaged banks, with the aim of counteracting possible future flooding phenomena 
The works include: excavations, installation of anti-nutria net, reconstruction of the banks with the installation of Serpentine Schist, backfilling, planting and asphalting.

Redevelopment of the Mengoni swimming pool

Following the redevelopment interventions carried out within the Neighborhood Plan of the Municipality of Milan, the Parri Mengoni sports center of Milanosport in the Bisceglie district has reopened to the public.
A new center available to citizens, with a 25 x 12,5 meter swimming pool, changing rooms, showers, large green spaces dedicated to the summer solarium and play areas, two fitness gyms and a relaxation area directly overlooking the pool.

The works on the supply and drainage systems of the water bodies of the Indro Montanelli Public Gardens are nearing completion.
The objective of the works is to save drinking water and relieve sewerage, through the creation of a new supply and drainage network for the lakes of the Montanelli Gardens and Villa Reale.
The works include: excavations, laying of the supply and drainage network, backfilling and asphalting.

The redevelopment works of via Vincenzo Brunacci, in Municipality 5, are underway, as part of the #QuartieriPlan of the #Milan Municipality, which involve:

  • the repaving of the area in front of the Thouar - Gonzaga Comprehensive Institute with granite blocks;
  • the creation of new planters;
  • the installation of racks and benches;
  • the construction of a castle at the pedestrian crossing.

The "Let's connect via Gola" project is part of the Neighborhood Plan of the Municipality of Milan and was born at the request of the citizens as part of the 2017-18 Participatory Budget with the aim of integrating the street into the urban fabric of the Navigli. It predicts:

  • the stonework and the widening of the sidewalks 
  • the redevelopment of the parking areas which will be redesigned
  • greener and the insertion of new trees
  • road safety interventions with raised pedestrian crossings
  • renovation work on the aqueduct between via Pichi and Alzaia, where the asphalt of the road will be replaced with stone and interventions will be carried out regarding greenery, urban decoration and lighting

The redevelopment will begin with the opening of the construction site on the road section between Via Pichi and Via Segantini and will then continue in the coming months in the direction of the Naviglio.

The intervention to redevelop and safeguard the trees in via Marco Antonio Colonna, envisaged as part of the Neighborhood Plan of the Municipality of Milan, involved the reorganization of urban spaces through:

  • the construction of stone turnstiles around the plants
  • the restoration of asphalt pavements
  • the planting of 10 new trees

The sidewalks were in a high state of degradation and the presence of dangerous depressions.

The intervention to redevelop and safeguard the trees in via Ampère, envisaged as part of the Neighborhood Plan of the Municipality of Milan, involved: 

  • the removal of everything that constituted a danger for the transit of people, such as holes and depressions caused by emerging roots
  • the felling of obsolescent or dangerous trees and the replanting of new replacement trees
  • the construction of turnstiles with stone cord and the reconstruction of damaged floors.

The redevelopment works of via Celio, in Municipality 7, have been completed.
 The Neighborhood Plan project of the Municipality of Milan envisaged the restyling of the street with:

  •  the resurfacing of the sidewalks and road surface with the reshaping of the roadway, new lighting and the construction of 57 parking stalls in a herringbone pattern;
  •  the creation of flowerbeds delimited by stone curbs within which new trees were planted;
  •  the creation of a surface water disposal system with the underground laying of pipes and inspection chambers for the correct flow of white water.

The project to adapt the tram stops and the traffic light technologies of the lines 4, 9, 12 e 27 aims to redevelop and reorganize the stops of some of the main tram lines.

The works involve overall 80 docks stops, with the aim of making them highly recognizable and accessible to people with mobility difficulties and/or blind people, through the creation of new infrastructures without architectural barriers, a new flooring equipped with podotactile signs and the installation of shelters and information panels .

The intervention of the Neighborhood Plan of the Municipality of Milan is completed through the updating of the traffic light systems, with the inclusion of acoustic signals for the blind.

17 September 2020 - The redevelopment works of the school garden of the nursery in Via Borsa 16 have been completed.

The objective of this project of the Neighborhood Plan of the Municipality of Milan was to improve the play equipment and integrate the recreational play spaces.

The project introduced a series of equipment, placed on a sports resin floor, such as "the train", "the village" and some picnic tables.

Other games, such as the slide and the schooner, were placed on new anti-trauma rubber flooring. Also in the rubber area, a fenced space has been created for very small children (6 to 10 months) who are still crawling.

Tables were provided for educational horticultural activities and a small house for storing gardening tools. While a table for water games was placed near a new water connection with tap.

The green area has been reseeded and new benches have been provided.

The surface area of ​​the Bosco dello Svizzero, an area adjacent to the Lambro park, is equal to 45.000 mXNUMX. The area was cleaned and arranged by the owner, according to the technical indications defined with the agronomists of the Municipality of Milan.

The interventions, which began in January 2020, involved cleaning all the herbaceous and shrubby vegetation that had grown spontaneously, as the surface had been unused for years. Subsequently, a census of the plants present was carried out, selecting the plants to be safeguarded and removing the dangerous and dead plants. Being an area that has been uncultivated for years, the prevalent vegetation is made up of plants of the genus: “Robinia spp.”, “Populus spp.” and “Ulmus spp.”
Once the area was made safe, the floors were leveled, followed by mechanical stone crushing and subsequent spring sowing of the lawn.

The surface area of ​​the second lot, added to the first lot completed in 2019 and equal to 15.000 m778.862, adds to the 838.000 mXNUMX of the Lambro Park whose overall size becomes greater than XNUMX mXNUMX.

14 September 2020 - The redevelopment work on the garden of the nursery school in via Sant'Abbondio 27 has been completed.
The objective of this project of the Neighborhood Plan of the Municipality of Milan was to improve the state of maintenance of the green area and play equipment, as well as integrating the recreational play spaces.
The intervention involved the introduction of a series of play equipment placed on anti-trauma rubber flooring such as the complex castle, climbing and the house with veranda.
Some picnic tables and two tables for outdoor sand manipulation games were placed on a sports resin floor.
Furthermore, two tables for water manipulation games and two tables for educational horticulture activities were placed on the lawn.
The green area has been reseeded as lawn and new benches have been provided.

10 September 2020 - The redevelopment work on the garden of the nursery school in Via Salerno 5 has been completed.
The objective of this project of the Neighborhood Plan of the Municipality of Milan was to improve the play equipment and integrate the recreational play spaces. 
The intervention involved the creation of areas paved in sports resin, in which play equipment such as the "sailing ship" and the "village" were inserted, while one of them was designated as a cycle path.
In another area of ​​the garden, a new complex game has been laid on anti-trauma rubber flooring, also approved for disabled children.
Some tables were provided for educational horticultural activities and others for picnics, under the pergolas, for outdoor activities. 

The green area has been reseeded and new benches have been provided.

Work has begun on the redevelopment of the characteristic Via Orti. 
The intervention involves raising the driveway to sidewalk level, with the reduction of the asphalted surface only to the part passable by vehicles. The sidewalks and rest areas will be paved to extend the pedestrian area. The green space will be expanded with plants and new flowerbeds. Bollards will be inserted to delimit the pedestrian area, bicycle racks and new waste bins.  
The works will be carried out through mobile construction sites, which begin today with the reconstruction of the aqueduct between via Curtatone and via della Commenda.

6 August 2020 - The intervention concerned the central gardens in the stretch between via Lipari and via del Caravaggio where a new stone slab pavement was laid in the two oval pitches and in the central stretch, previously in asphalt, within this Last but not least, two further flowerbeds were created. A pedestrian path crossing the grass cube gardens was also created.

14 July 2020 - The redevelopment project involved: the creation of three areas paved in sports resin, in which play equipment such as "the train", "the village" and "the little house" were inserted.
The replacement of the existing slide is planned with the reconstruction of the anti-trauma rubber flooring and the restoration of a stretch of garden in washed gravel slabs, with an extension of the paved surface in the last part, in order to encourage recreational and educational events at open.

The school building works in the courtyard of the “Vittorio Locchi” primary school in via Passerini have been completed.

The redevelopment project included:

  • a new resin flooring of the existing five-a-side football pitch,
  • the addition of a new equipped basketball-football area,
  • the marking on the floor for the game of chess,
  • the replacement of the gravel with self-locking block to make the courtyard more usable.

Also introduced: a new rainwater disposal system, space for educational gardens and flowering shrubs, such as hydrangeas, in place of the previous green areas.

The existing fences were replaced and one was added that separates the school from the part behind the courtyard.

In the school in via Paravia 3, the following works were completed:

  • securing the attics 
  • new acoustic false ceilings in 60x60 cm modular panels
  • new ordinary and emergency LED lighting system
  • painting of the internal rooms and the external plaster part
  • regulatory compliance and renovation interventions on the roof (fibre-reinforced liquid waterproofing membrane and installation of permanent perimeter parapets - DPC - for safe access.
