MASP- Master parenting in work and life

The project
The Municipality of Milan, which has long paid great attention to all issues relating to work-life balance and, for this purpose, has also launched a series of experimental actions and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of workers and citizens - intensifying relations with all stakeholders present in the area for this purpose, acting on hourly flexibility, environmental sustainability, support for new opportunities with particular reference to new forms of work - in order to improve the quality of life of citizens and workers, decided to join the Call by proposing a project proposal entitled MASP - Master parenting in work and life, which aims to reconcile work and private life, support a more equitable distribution of care responsibilities between women and men and encourage greater participation of women in the labor market.

  •  develop and test an innovative work-life balance strategy centered on two programs: one dedicated to unemployed women and the other aimed at companies and their workers;
  •  improve the skills and knowledge of key actors involved in the work-life reconciliation process in order to make them more aware and implement innovative measures;
  •  develop a sustainable multi-level and multi-stakeholder partnership model in order to create an integrated model;
  •  promote knowledge and sharing of experiences among the various participating subjects; facilitate access to information on social protection rights through the creation of "parental kits" which will include information sheets, the Masp guide, credentials for access to a digital platform.

1. Research on best practices present in the territories involved;
2. Exchange of experiences and good practices with other countries;
3. Development of a training program aimed at raising awareness among the various key actors on gender issues and work-life balance measures and on the importance of parenting and professional growth;
4. Development of two targeted initiatives: the first dedicated to unemployed women, aimed at promoting their employability; the second aimed at companies and their employees.

• Promote the employability of unemployed women;
• Reduce gender diversity;
• Develop a kit for parents that includes information sheets on social protection rights, services and incentives dedicated to parenting in each territory;
• Optimize work-life balance;
• Create a manual for public services and employment staff;
• Improve the work-life synergy of employees in private companies;
• Increase the attractiveness of talent and strengthen corporate social responsibility.
