KA1 Erasmus Mobility Program on outdoor education

 

 

Project
The European Commission published on 28 May 2020 a call for accreditation in the sectors of adult education, vocational education and training and school education; Erasmus accreditations are a tool available to education and training organizations that wish to open up to cross-border cooperation and exchanges. Within this procedure there was the possibility of obtaining accreditation for Key Action 1 (KA1).

These are projects in which the Municipality of Milan is the only beneficiary

Aims
The KA1 action has the following objectives:
• support the professional development of those working in the education, training and youth sectors so as to renew and improve the quality of teaching, training and youth work across Europe;
• strengthen participants' foreign language skills;
• increase participants' awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries, offering them the opportunity to build networks of international contacts, to actively participate in society and develop a sense of European citizenship and identity;
• increase the capacity, attractiveness and international dimension of organizations active in the fields of education, training and youth so that they can offer activities and programs that better respond to the needs of individuals, in Europe and beyond;
• strengthen synergies and transitions between formal, non-formal learning, vocational training, employment and entrepreneurship;
• ensure better recognition of skills acquired during learning periods abroad;
• promote the creation of a European education area.

Actions
The actions envisaged by the first of the single-beneficiary projects are the following:
• November 2021/January 2022: selection activities of European experts for training activities and European services/bodies for training and observation activities abroad;
• February/June 2022: training in blended mode with online meetings and incoming mobility of foreign experts who will conduct seminars and workshops dedicated to the staff of the Children's Services Area;
• September/November 2022: outgoing mobility of approximately 15 people belonging to the Childhood Services Area for job shadowing activities (observation in practical work situations) with the selected European partners. Outgoing mobility may be extended, in agreement with the European Commission, until June 2023.

Expected results
The training of staff in the Children's Services Area regarding relationships with families, the inclusion of all girls and boys and the development of creativity.
