The application to participate in the vote by EU citizens must be submitted byMarch 11 2024.

In the application - in addition to indicating the surname, name, place and date of birth - the following must be expressly declared:
• the desire to exercise the right to vote exclusively in Italy;
• citizenship;
• the address in the municipality of residence and in the country of origin;
• possession of electoral capacity in the State of origin;
• the absence of a judicial measure against the person, which entails the loss of active voters for the State of origin.

The outcome of the application will be communicated promptly; if accepted, interested people will be registered on a special added list and will be able to collect their electoral card at the Electoral Office and the registry offices, without an appointment, with an indication of the polling station where they can go to vote.

By registering on the added list, it will be possible to exercise the right to vote exclusively for members of the European Parliament belonging to Italy and not also for members of the European Parliament belonging to the country of origin: in fact, there is a ban on double vote.
