To vote you must be:

1. older
2. registered on the electoral lists of the last municipality of residence before expatriation.

You can choose whether:

• vote abroad by post;
• return to vote in Italy in the last municipality of residence before leaving the country.

Case in which it is not possible to vote by post:

• postal voting is not possible in countries with which no agreements have been reached that guarantee the regularity of voting;
• in this case the voter is entitled to a reimbursement of 75% of the travel expenses incurred for returning to Italy. To obtain a refund, submit an application to your Consular Office, accompanied by the electoral certificate and the travel ticket.
