MAINTENANCE OF THE RAILWAY BRIDGE

Il Via Farini bridge it was the subject of an important maintenance intervention by the Municipality of Milan and the Italian Railway Network with the aim of maintaining its load-bearing structures in efficiency and allowing the complete reconstruction of the tram tracks, road pavements and sidewalks.

From July 6th to September 6th 2020 the ban on transit on the bridge has been extended to all vehicles to allow the carrying out of all those interventions that cannot be carried out in the presence of traffic.

The implementation of this intervention was shared between the Municipality of Milan and RFI.
The cost was 12 million euros.

On 5 September the via Farini bridge was reopened as scheduled and the circulation of both vehicles and public transport has resumed.
