Light and heavy vehicles for specific transport and special use:

  • diesel Euro 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 with DPF as standard or added are waived until September 30, 2029;
  • diesel Euro 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 which certify the impossibility of installing a DPF they can request the exemption until 30 September 2029 by sending Form 11 (Area C: forms) at the address mta. ufficioAreaC@comune milano.it. If subject to the traffic restrictions in force in the Lombardy Region, they are exempted only if they also comply with the regional exemptions.

From 1 October 2029

The aforementioned vehicles, light and heavy, for specific transport and for special use, will be subject to a ban on access and circulation.
 

I special and specific use vehicles and classy bed Euro 6 as well as the heavy vehicles ed bus numbers and classy bed Euro 6 will be exempted from the limitations:

  • up to the 20th year from the date of first registration, if registered by 31/12/2020;
  • up to the 14th year from the date of first registration, if registered from 01/01/2021 to 31/12/2025.

To find out which class your vehicle belongs to, check its data and characteristics in the registration document. Here's what to look for:

  • vehicle class: the reference field is the J
    - "Light vehicles" are classified as M1 and N1, the remainder fall into the "Heavy vehicles" category  
  • value of the CO2 emission contribution: the reference field is the V7
  • particulate emissions value: the reference field is the V5
  • CE approval environmental class (EURO class): the reference field is V9, further detailed in the third box. To find out which class your vehicle falls into, download the EEC Directives Table
