Area B | Exemptions for vehicles of historical interest
Historic vehicles certified by the relevant bodies can benefit from exemptions from the Area B prohibitions.
To request the exemption you must have an active profile on Area B platform e have registered the vehicle to be waived.
Vehicles of historical interest with the following characteristics:
- aged between twenty and forty years from first registration
- Certificate of Historical Relevance (CRS) issued by the relevant bodies
- registration on the Area B platform
can benefit from 25 days per year of access and circulation in Area B.
Remember
- the exemption is associated with the vehicle and not with the owner
- the 25 days are to be used in the period 1 October - 30 September
- once the 25 days have been used up, the vehicle will no longer be able to access and circulate in Area B until 30 September - for each day to be used, the permit must be activated before accessing or circulating in Area B
- unused days cannot be cumulated for the following year.
Vehicles of historical interest enter freely into Area B with:
- at least forty years from the first registration
- Certificate of Historical Relevance (CRS) issued by the relevant bodies
- registration on the Area B platform.
Remember
- the exemption is associated with the vehicle and not with the owner
- registration of the license plate on the Area B platform must be carried out before the first access
- after registration, the Administration will verify the requirements
- the outcome of the verification will be available on the online platform, in the "Your license plates" section
- in case of insufficient documentation, an integration may be requested.
Data requested during registration (found on the Certificate of Historical Relevance):
- number of the certificate of historical relevance and date of issue
- vehicle license plate, date of first registration, chassis number.
