Study languages ​​abroad

The Presidency of the City Council organizes summer study trips abroad every year to:

  • secondary school students in Milan
  • Milanese adults and families.

The stays take place from June to September.

Registration for 2024 will open as follows:

Lower and upper secondary school students 

  • Registration on the registration platform by Sunday 18 February 2024 gold 24:00 
  • Registration from Tuesday 20th February pm 14pm to Sunday 00 February pm 24:00 

 

Adults and families

  • Da Tuesday 19 March pm 14:00 until the schools communicate that places are full 

 

Attention (stays for adults):

  • Frankfurt am Main: registrations close Sunday March 24 at midnight (subject to ranking) 
  • Berlin itinerant language course: registration closes Tuesday 30th April at 24: 00 
  • Berlin behind the scenes: registrations close Wednesday May 15 at 24: 00 

Please remember that registrations are taking place entirely online on a platform reserved for those registered for the newsletter dedicated, those who register for the newsletter will be informed of the publication of the summer program and will receive the links to connect to the registration platform.

Requirements
Study stays are reserved for secondary school students (formerly middle and high school) of Milan, divided by age groups and structured into groups of a maximum of 30 participants each.

Participants are identified through point rankings based on the following criteria:

  • place of residence
  • previous participation in stays, even for different destinations
  • order of arrival of applications.

The position in the ranking will be communicated individually via email within 15 working days of registration closing.

The offer includes

  • language course: approximately 15/20 lessons per week, held by native speaking teaching staff 
  • extra-curricular sporting and educational-cultural activities
  • flight, train or bus journey (depending on destination) 
  • accommodation (room and board) with a family or in facilities made available by the host language schools
  • one/two companions for each group, identified among the internal staff of the municipal administration.

Requirements

  • Adults
    - minimum age 20 years
    - work, study or be resident/domiciled in the territory of the Municipality of Milan
     
  • Families (at least one adult with a child attending the language course)
    - at least one member of the participating family unit must study, work or be resident/domiciled in the territory of the Municipality of Milan.

The offer includes

  • language course
  • accommodation (optional).

Not included:

  • carers
  • organization of the trip.

The language schools where the courses take place are recognized for the excellence of their training offer by the respective national certification bodies.

The classes are made up of students of the same linguistic level and also from other countries.

At the end of the courses a certificate of attendance is issued.

Participation costs and all detailed information will be indicated in the flyers that can be downloaded from this page as soon as they are available.
