In the case of recovery of an attic not falling within the definition of elevation, how can the intervention be classified?

Once it has been verified that this does not fall within the case of superelevation and that the rigidity of the attic floor is not modified, carrying out the interventions can lead to the following cases:

  • No increase in loads: the intervention can be classified as a local intervention;
  • Increase in load less than 10%: the technician must analyze the structural unit and in the event that the increase in load does not modify the response of the building he will classify the works as a local intervention. If the increase modifies the response of the building, the improvement must be carried out;
  • Increase in loads greater than 10%: the structural unit must be adequate.
